A public judging event is held each year at the National Rose Trial Garden within the Botanic Gardens of Adelaide - members of the general public are encouraged to visit the Trial Gardens to cast their votes for their most favoured roses and view those new roses most likely to be released in the coming seasons.
These results provide an excellent insight for rose breeders, rose growers and retailers as to those types of roses which are most popular to the public.
In 2012, the public judging is taking place from 10am to 4pm on Saturday 28th April and Sunday 29th April at the trial ground within the Adelaide Botanic Garden.
Lecture Program for Sunday 29th April
-12.30 pm Peter Burton; Choosing the site & bed preparation
-1.30 pm Kelvin Trimper; Rose culture, fertilizing & watering
-2.30 pm Maureen Ross; Pick the right rose for the location
